Improving the Patient Experience
Our modern digital scanning technology ensures accuracy, comfort, and improved outcomes for dental procedures like crowns, bridges, and veneers. Traditional X-rays and photography methods have gone digital, making for a more accurate, more seamless process and record-keeping. We can detect disease and decay sooner than ever so we can catch small problems before they develop into larger, more painful, and more costly ones. Dr. Phillip Lance & Dr. Katherine Lebedevare dedicated to continuing education, always learning new treatments and investing in new technologies that make for faster, more comfortable treatments with better results than ever before.
Digital X-rays

Traditional X-rays were a great advancement for the medical and dental fields at the time, but as technology has improved, x-rays have gone digital. Digital X-rays are safer as they produce up to 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays, and can be taken quickly and easily right from the dental chair. We can then pull your X-rays up on the screen and view the results together. Digital X-rays are taken in a matter of moments rather than minutes, so there’s less chance for movement and human error. Digital x-rays are more precise and more accurate so we can detect small problems before they develop.
Intraoral Cameras
Up until the late 1980s when the first intraoral cameras were developed, dentists and hygienists relied on the magic of sight and the help of a little mirror to see into your mouth and peer around corners. We all know our eyes can deceive us sometimes, so intraoral cameras have made a huge impact in the way we do dentistry. Intraoral cameras today allow us to take real-time, high-resolution images that can be significantly magnified to detect problems sooner. Intraoral cameras also allow you to see what we see on the screen, so you can have a better understanding of your oral health and treatment needs.
Pearl AI

Human eyes can see around 30 shades of gray. The Pearl AI technology can see 500-800 shades of gray. This helps the doctors at Miami Valley Smiles find things sooner and provide more minimally invasive treatment. Pearl is a real-time dental AI platform that automatically detects numerous conditions in dental X-rays to give dentists a second set of eyes for superior radiologic accuracy. The Pearl AI technology enhances images, analyzes, and instantly delivers results whenever a new radiograph is captured. Our dentists can count on reliable support in real-time data while patients are still in the chair.

Painless Injections
For many folks, especially those with any level of dental fear or anxiety, particularly those with a fear of needles, the injection is often the worst part of any dental treatment. After that, you’re numb and can’t feel a thing, but the injection is often frightening and painful. That’s why we’ve invested in painless injection technology that takes the fear and the prick out of any dental treatment. If you’ve been avoiding the dentist, you should come see us at Miami Valley Smiles for a pain-free dental experience.
